Terms of Service
Last updated: June 5, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of Qoro (“Qoro,” “we,” “the platform”), a marketplace operated by 1001627702 ONTARIO INC., an Ontario numbered corporation doing business as Qoro, connecting customers with skilled-trade service providers in Ontario, Canada. By using Qoro you agree to these Terms.
1. The marketplace, in plain language
Qoro is a matchmaker. We help customers find and hire local service providers and we help providers find work. Qoro is not the service provider, and we are not party to the contract for services that forms between a customer and a provider when a quote is accepted.
2. Booking fees and payments
- When a customer accepts a quote, a booking fee is charged. The fee is credited toward the final labour amount.
- The accepted quote is a working agreement; the binding final amount may be revised after on-site assessment, with the customer's explicit approval (see “Quote revisions” below).
- Quotes cover labour only. Equipment, parts, and materials are paid by the customer directly to the provider — Qoro does not process material payments.
- If the provider sources materials, the customer must pre-pay the provider for materials before the provider purchases them. Providers are advised never to front-load materials cost.
3. Cancellation policy
- Customer cancels more than 8 hours before scheduled start: full booking-fee refund.
- Customer cancels within 8 hours: booking fee is forfeited and is paid mostly to the provider as compensation for reserved time.
- Customer cannot cancel after the job is in progress — contact support@qoro.ca to escalate.
- Provider cancels at any time: customer is fully refunded. Frequent late cancellations affect the provider's rating and may result in suspension.
4. Quote revisions
If after the on-site assessment the provider needs to revise the price, they may propose a revised quote. The customer must approve the revision before any new charges. If the customer rejects the revision, the booking is cancelled, the booking fee is forfeited (used to compensate the provider for the site-visit time), and the customer is free to re-book elsewhere. The customer may dispute an unreasonable revision by emailing support@qoro.ca.
5. Provider obligations
By using Qoro, providers agree to:
- Only accept jobs they are qualified, licensed, and insured to perform
- Comply with applicable Ontario trade licensing, ESA electrical authorization, and any other regulatory requirements for their trade
- Submit accurate identity verification documents and maintain a current profile
- Respect customer privacy and confidentiality
- Not solicit, contact, or attempt to do business with Qoro customers off the platform. Soliciting Qoro customers off-platform is grounds for immediate, permanent removal from the network and forfeiture of any pending payouts. We monitor patterns of customer attrition.
- Cooperate in good faith with Qoro's dispute mediation process if a customer raises a workmanship concern about a completed job (see Section 8).
- Trade-credential attestation: when applying for any trade on Qoro, the provider attests under penalty of permanent account termination and forfeiture of pending payouts that they hold all legally-required certifications for the trade(s) they have selected — including, where applicable in Ontario, a current Certificate of Qualification (Plumber 306A, Electrician 309A/309C, Auto Service Technician 310S/T/B/J), an ECRA/ESA Licensed Electrical Contractor licence, and any required municipal or industry credentials. Submitting false attestations or fabricated documents is a material breach of these Terms.
6. Customer obligations
- Provide accurate booking information and photos
- Pay accepted quote amounts and any agreed-upon material costs in full
- Treat providers professionally and provide safe access to the service location
- Not share provider personal information disclosed during the booking outside of the platform
7. Identity verification & trust
All providers must complete identity verification before they can quote. In production, this is performed by Stripe Identity. Verified providers receive a “Verified” badge visible to customers.
8. Workmanship support & dispute mediation
Qoro is a marketplace, not a contractor. Workmanship warranties are between you and your provider. If you report a defect in completed work within a reasonable time, Qoro will mediate between you and the provider — reviewing the chats, photos, and timeline on file — and help facilitate a resolution where possible. Qoro does not itself guarantee the workmanship of any provider, and off-platform work is not covered by this mediation process.
9. Disputes
If a dispute arises, contact support@qoro.ca. Qoro admin will review the booking, communications, and any evidence submitted, and make a determination. Qoro's decision on platform-related disputes (refunds, revisions, cancellations) is final.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Qoro makes no warranties about the quality, timeliness, or outcome of services performed by providers. Providers are independent contractors. To the extent permitted by law, Qoro's aggregate liability is limited to the booking fees paid in the 12 months preceding any claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law. You may close your account at any time by emailing support@qoro.ca or using the in-app delete option.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
